Hey there, about me huh! Well, I started a website back in 2006 called Romance Treasure. The sites main focus was the cover models, you know those hunky, sexier than hell guys on the covers of our beloved romance books. Now I was definitely a newbie in the romance community and didn't know squat about any of these guys, I didn't even know their names. But thanks to my puter I started searching and searching until I finally found some information on these guys. I was happier than a pig in crap and at that point I started Romance Treasure. With this, I started self teaching myself how to do graphics work and believe me it was and still is a long and tedious process. But I love it, and Romance Treasure became a reality. I even went to my first and only Romantic Times Convention which was an experience to remember.
Over the last seven years I've had the pleasure of meeting some of those hunks and became good friends with a few of them. You know what I found out? They're just guys, men, good looking men, but they put their pants on the same way all other men do.
I learned real quick that the romance community is a dog eat dog world and very close knit, and did I say cliquish? Well, it is, and I had my share of nasty emails and comments, but I hung in there and I'm glad I did. I've met some really nice people, some I can call friends.
Then one day, I'm poking around in Facebook and I find that some international chick had literally raped my website of custom graphics that I had created. Needless to say I was pissed beyond compare. I took Romance Treasure off line and am in the process of re-designing the whole site. And bam, here comes this blog.
This blog will be an extension of my website, focusing on not only the few models I have featured but a whole lot of other crazy information us women thrive on.
The models I have is in an official capacity with the exception of a few that I just adore. (wink wink). Official meaning, I have their permission to use their work on my site. I even became the web mistress of three, re-designing and maintaining their personal websites. Wow, you talk about busy! So here I am now, it's been a fun road but I burned a lot of midnight candles.
I have two wonderful sons and four grandkids and I'm just a country gal living in the South. I'm not married and yes, I work a full-time job.
I hope you enjoy the blog and just keep on reading those books, keep on drooling and fantasizing over the covers.
